Canada is a country that is highly developed with many opportunities for work and a good salary. It attracts many foreign workers who want to find a good-paying job. If you wish to work in Canada temporarily, you must first secure a job and a Canadian work permit. A work permit is a document for which you must apply once you have gained employment with an employer who is approved by the federal government of Canada to hire a foreign worker.

What is a Canadian Temporary Work Permit?
A Temporary Work Permit carries a combination of a Temporary Resident Visa and a Work Permit together for the purpose of allowing you to gain entry to Canada and the right to work. Both the Temporary Resident Visa and the Work Permit have the same validity period and can be from a period of 6 months up to 3 years in length, depending on the period of your employer’s job offer and employment contract.
Before your work permit and temporary visa expire, you should use the opportunity to apply for a work permit extension as long as you still have a valid job offer and an employment contract with your employer. If your work permit and temporary visa expire and there are no approved extensions or change of status, you must leave Canada immediately and return to your home
country. Multiple extension periods can be done over a maximum period of 4 years.
